Theo and Liam's sweet mama is an instructor for the fitness program I am a part of, and she always leads with such energy, encouragement, and kindness. After I met with her family for photos, I left convinced that she leads her boys in the exact same way. The exhaustion I sometimes feel trying to keep up with my one boy?? Doesn't even phase her, and she has two. She and her husband clearly value experiences with their sons over anything else, and they have SUCH fun together. I was truly just a bystander here...mom and dad kept them entertained and laughing the whole time. It was a joy to photograph their family and celebrate their youngest turning one.

What a blessing it has been getting to know this family....as they prepared for their son's arrival, as they welcomed him into the world and held him for the very first time; as they spent their first Christmas as a family of three, and now as they celebrate his first birthday. When I narrowed the focus of this business to babies, I did so with the intention of sharing stories like this. I did so with the hope that families would allow me to follow along as their babies grew. It's such a privilege to be welcomed into these special moments...I now call these guys friends, and I am so happy to wrap up Truett's first year with such a pretty evening in the flowers.
Bluebonnets | Fort Worth Family Photography
This little angel-face and her mama have been my "guinea pigs" for some time now. They have to be two of the most laid-back ladies I know...always up to let me experiment. See: this post. I only shoot outdoors a small percentage of the time, and I knew I wasn't going to be offering bluebonnet sessions this year. HowEVER, being a Texas girl, I am a little obsessed with these little blue and white buds.
So, planning for possible future sessions, and wanting to get some photos of my own family without having to use a remote, I mentioned the idea to Grace and we set a (play)date.
I already bragged a little on the two girls in this family, but dad is pretty great too. My husband always enjoys talking with him, and he is just as easy-going and friendly as his wife and daughter. It was a breeze shooting these, to say the least.
This last one might be my favorite:
And here is our little circus. Having another family there with us meant I got a picture with me IN IT! Kind of a rarity.
Addie has two sides. She is 50% ornery and stubborn.
And 50% pure sugar.
This one is just always sweet:
What do you think? Bluebonnet sessions worth offering next year?? Who can come make this child smile?
