My job involves me photographing in a lot of very personal spaces—hospital rooms, your homes….. I am so thankful for the trust you all have shown in me in allowing me in these special places, and treasure this privilege so much.
This family/maternity session was done on their gorgeous property, and I left feeling incredibly grateful. There is so much to be said for capturing the spaces that are shared, worked on, played in, as a family. Especially when they are this beautiful…..
This was my third time photographing these precious twin girls, and they were as sweet and spunky as ever. Baby brother is going to have lotssss of mommies!
I’m sharing this session today because a.) it was a favorite of mine from last year, and this family is just so precious and genuine, and it absolutely shows in their photos…..and b.) because it was different than the typical newborn session in that it was very, very dark the day we did these.
I want anyone considering photos to know that yes, a bright sunny day can most certainly be ideal for natural light purposes, but if you have to shoot on a dark, cloudy rainy day for one reason or another, you can still make magic. Find the light and hug the windows and embrace the beauty in the depth and shadows <3
These are the kind of moments I would want hanging all over my house.
