First….I am really starting to miss my hospital sessions (and all sessions, really). I haven’t blogged since the beginning of all of this, so figured I could get my baby fix while sharing some beautiful photos with you all in the process. Starting with this little one, since she just celebrated her FIRST birthday. I don’t know how that is possible. When I saw her mama share birthday party pics online, I had to do a double take. NO WAY this little tiny baby is one. I couldn’t believe it. So, what better time to share these photos from her first days..
Her arrival as the third girl in this family was just as sweet and wonderful as these photos suggest. Her two big sisters were over the MOON to meet her, snuggling and singing to her the whole time I was there. It was magic and I left with a huge smile on my face.
Second…I am finally starting to see a little bit of light at the end of this can’t-work-tunnel, so am starting to plan for summer and fall….and 2021. Which is crazy. (To explain—I do not think we will be allowed in hospitals for sessions for a long time. If a First 48 or Birth session is on your wish list, I would suggest talking it over with your OB and getting your thoughts on it. But if I was going to guess, I would sadly bet that 2021 would be the earliest that visitors like photographers are allowed). However, all signs point to us being able to start photographing clients outdoors again soon, as long as appropriate measures and precautions are taken. We shall see. I have been very, very conservative and strict with our stay at home procedures, and have not been taking any jobs or doing any sessions, even at a distance. I wish I could have, but legally it is prohibited, and ethically I just didn’t feel right doing so.
We are all waiting for more info, but for now, I wanted to offer a thank you to all of you who have reached out, all of you who have not cancelled your session, all of you who have been wiling to postpone, and all of you who have asked how you could support me now, and in the future.
If you feel so inclined, any full session booked this week, for use at any point in the future, will receive $50 off. And any full session that has been postponed due to COVID-19 will automatically receive a $50 credit to their balance. I am SO, so grateful for you all for sticking with me through this. I miss you all and appreciate you more than you could ever know!
