The other day my daughter and I were driving to a doctor’s appointment, taking a route that was very familiar to us over the last couple of years.
My dad’s cancer treatments coincided with us opening our studio, so we were in this particular part of town almost every day. And my daughter has my sense of direction, thankfully, so she always knows where we are. Now, anytime we are over there it’s either “this is Pepaw’s hospital!” or “are we going to the studio?!”
This week it was the latter. And though it’s still a little bittersweet, I’m so thankful for the experience we had as a family, creating that space. And for the many clients who joined me there, this sweet bunch included.
If this is something that peaks your interest, please don’t be afraid to ask. While I do shoot most newborns in-home, I have had a higher-than-normal amount of inquiries requesting in-studio newborn sessions, so I wanted to share this here as an example of what a lifestyle studio newborn session may look like. Shooting in home is something I love, and highly recommend, however having a space available like this is so helpful for those of you who are coming from out of town, who are moving, or remodeling, whatever it may be… So while we don’t have this particular space any longer, there are fortunately still several local studios available, should the need arise.
